SOS Himalaya

This is Iñaki Ochoa de Olza’s project. He died ascending the Annapurna on 23 May 2008. Iñaki wanted to give back some of what he’d received to orphans and the poorest and most needy children in countries with mountains over 8000m. An orphanage in Kathmandu, a children’s hospital in Pakistan and a school in Dharamsala (seat of exiled Tibetan rulers).
Lorpen co-sponsored Ochoa del Olza since 2004. Our close relationship with this great sportsman and extraordinary person led us to become involved in this humanitarian project, which is a true reflection of Iñaki’s spirit.
